Department of Languages, Literature and Mass Communication Speaker Series: Guest Speaker Assistant Professor of Communications Joy Enyinnaya, PhD
During the Fall 2022 semester, CMU’s Department of Languages, Literature and Mass Communication held their annual speaker series. Guests included Brigham Young University’s Amy Williams, PhD, who presented on student affect, specifically on how to help students cultivate hope in relationship to their writing, and William Carr, PhD, who gave a public presentation/interactive lecture on Spanish humor.
The third speaker in the series was Joy Enyinnaya, PhD, from the University of the Fraser Valley. She presented on media economics.
In this Special Edition podcast, Assistant Professor of Communications at the University of the Fraser Valley in Canada, Joy Enyinnaya, PhD, shares her unique approach to activism, media economics and her life experiences in Nigeria. According to Enyinnaya, the most effective way to engage in activism is through education and mentorship, which she incorporates into her teaching to spark thought-provoking conversations in her classroom.
